Fundamental Duties (Article 51A)

Fundamental Duties are enshrined in Article 51A of the Constitution, reminding citizens of their responsibilities.

Important Duties under Article 51A:

• 51A (a) – Respect the Constitution, National Flag, and Anthem
• 51A (b) – Cherish ideals of the freedom struggle
• 51A (c) – Uphold sovereignty and integrity of India
• 51A (e) – Promote harmony and brotherhood
• 51A (f) – Preserve rich heritage of culture
• 51A (g) – Protect the environment
• 51A (h) – Develop scientific temper
• 51A (i) – Safeguard public property
• 51A (j) – Strive for excellence
