Preamble

The Professional Code of Conduct of the institution is framed in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

 

This code aims to ensure ethical practices, accountability, transparency, and quality standards in teaching, learning, and administration, in line with NAAC and RUSA quality benchmarks.

 

Objectives

• To promote professional ethics and integrity among stakeholders

• To ensure quality in teaching-learning and evaluation
• To maintain discipline and institutional values
• To create a student-centric and inclusive environment
• To align institutional practices with NAAC and RUSA frameworks

 

Code of Conduct for Faculty

Academic Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum effectively and complete syllabus on time
• Maintain fairness and transparency in evaluation
• Update knowledge through research, FDPs, and training programs

Ethical Responsibilities

• Treat all students equally without discrimination
• Avoid plagiarism and uphold academic integrity
• Maintain confidentiality in academic matters

Institutional Responsibilities

• Participate in institutional development activities
• Contribute to NAAC, RUSA, and other quality initiatives
• Act as mentors and guides for students

Code of Conduct for Students

Students shall:

Academic Discipline

• Attend classes regularly and participate actively
• Avoid malpractice in examinations and assignments

Behavioral Conduct

• Maintain discipline and respect teachers and peers
• Avoid ragging and any form of misconduct

Social Responsibility

• Protect institutional property and environment
• Promote harmony, unity, and inclusiveness

Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching Staff

Non-teaching staff shall:

• Maintain efficiency and accountability in duties
• Provide timely support to students and faculty
• Follow office procedures and institutional policies
• Maintain confidentiality of official records
• Exhibit courteous and service-oriented behavior

 

Institutional Code & Governance

The institution shall:

• Ensure transparent governance and participative management
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and student-friendly environment
• Implement government and UGC policies effectively
• Promote quality assurance through IQAC initiatives
• Encourage research, innovation, and extension activities

 

Monitoring & Implementation

• The Principal shall be the overall authority for implementation
• The IQAC monitors adherence to professional ethics
• Feedback mechanisms (students, staff) will be used for improvement
• Violations will be addressed through institutional disciplinary procedures

The Professional Code of Conduct is a guiding framework to build a responsible academic community. Adherence to this code ensures institutional excellence, ethical standards, and holistic development.
